Brief Description: Made and installed step fairings
There are two fairings surrounding the step system. The fuselage step fairing spans the bottom of the fuselage to cover the step tube. It bows over the tube depth and has slightly bent flanges on both sides. The other fairing goes on the step itself. Lots of laying on my back under the plane, getting things lined up and ready to drill. The step fairings had enough variables that I took the time to make a template from poster paper (one of my new favorite techniques). That went great. I just have a little clean up work (drilling to size, attaching a 50mm L angle for support, etc.) which should take less that one hour.
