Brief Description:  Drilled panel side angles and started top skin

This morning I did the careful locating of the panel side angles, making especially sure to align the instrument panel gusset in the correct location under the panel side angle flange to allow precise backdrilling. Not as easy as it might seem. The other learning of the morning was regarding the forward top skin. NOTE: the 650 plans show parallel bend lines for this part, but the dimensions suggest that it is angled. The lines should be angled, but a word to the wise is to measure your actual installation before cutting this skin. Measure from the center line to the bend line on each side, for both the instrument panel and firewall. They may be slightly different. My approach is to make another poster paper template, which I started this AM before discovering what I have just written. No cuts were made, so I can make the adjustment tonight and produce a perfectly tailored part for this highly visible area.
