Yesterday I spent several hours reviewing the steps necessary to get my airplance certified as airworthy. I have all the forms filled out preliminarily and also took a crack at my weight and balance. The missing piece was the arm from my datum line to the middle of my main gear (left and right) and the nose gear. Today I went back to the hangar to confirm that information. Because I have the Grove gear, I found that my arm to my main gear is forward of most builders who use the factory gear. That works out in my favor as far as my CG range. I'll complete those calculations later tonight. In the short time I stayed at the hangar, I also riveted the Z angle in place along the hinge line for the bottom fuselage access door.
