Brief Description:  Checked with ZAC on bolt spacing issue

The gap between my last session and this post was filled with waiting for a response to an email to ZAC. The day after finishing my solid riveting, I called to check with someone at the factory about using pulled rivets on the top doubler where the four uprights interfered with my ability to drive solid rivets. In explaining the situation of having bolts instead of rivets, Caleb questioned the spacing between my bolts. I took pictures, wrote an explanation email and sent it off to Roger. It turns out he was ferrying a 750 to Sebring last week, so no answer came. Early Monday morning I called Roger and fully explained the situation. All the bolts in my center spar are on 40mm centers except the outer uprights which are 20mm on center. After consulting with Caleb and construction standards, they confirmed that the closest you can have A4 bolts in 19mm on center. Whew! A lesson to be learned is to check edge distance and spacing before enlarging holes.
