Brief Description:  Installed left aileron

My first job was to make the opening in the rear spar for the balance arm. Once that was complete, and before riveting the aileron skin, I test fit the aileron to see it the arm needed adjustment. It required some upward bending, which I did on the workbench with rounded wood blocks and a breaker bar for leverage. I then riveted the skin. When I set the main spar at 81 degrees and leveled the wing, I then added weights to the arm and discovered that the arm hung just a bit too low. I removed the weights and the aileron, and gave it an upward deflection by using thee bolts in a vice (two on one side and one on the other) to force it to bend as I tightened the vice. This worked. I reinstalled the weights and added the protective plates, top and bottom. Now I just need to prime and rivet those plates and rivet the aileron in place..
