Brief Description:  Finished and stored left wing

Today was my day to do a dozen little things that allowed me to store my left wing. It started with primiing and riveting the plates that protect the upper and lower wing skins from the balance arm. Then I riveted the areas of the top skin that I had opened up for this job, as well as the hinge line for the aileron. It is on for the duration. I then reattached the aileron to the bellcrank. Before I could move the wing back to the wing dolly, I decided to prep the right wing for moving it later. I removed the flap (merely removing clecoes) and the aileron, which required removing rivets from the hinge. The right wing is more complicated because it has the aileron trim, which I had already wired. I removed the access door, then decided where to cut the wire so I could remove the aileron. With Joy's help (and an padded auto creeper for rolling the wing), we moved it back into storage position in the wing caddy. The final step was cleaning off my work table so I can rebuild the right aileron and other small tasks on a clean, unobstructed work surface. I have learned that once a wing is on the table, it requires a lot of juggling to get anything done that requires a work surface. So, aileron next, then nav/position/strobe light installation in the wing tip, then the right wing itself.
