I've spent several days fabricating the components of the canopy locking mechanism. (In fairness to the total assembly time log I'm only showing 8 hours as the time I've spent installing my design is well past that that would be expended installing the factory supplied part.) Due to the compound nature of the OML and the angles of the canopy frame pieces it has been a labor of love and a series of trial and fit and building fabrication aids. The final fit check validated the effort. The trickiest part is still to come: mounting the latch receptacles in the fuselage (there isn't a great way to hold them in place firmly while determining their location). More news at 11:00.
