Brief Description: More installation of the console effort
Installing the center console turned out to be more effort than I thought it would be - not much different than any other day. Because I had to develop my own connection between the fuel control valve (which mounts in the console) and the fuel hoses that came with and on the engine, I had to install different size connectors on each end of the valve. Thinking that it was a "regular" ball valve I didn't pay any attention to the fact that the connectors have to be clocked to the ends to ensure the relationship between the valve handle and on-off label is correct. Otherwise, with a keyed valve handle, the markings might be180 degrees out-of-phase. (Well, at least you have a 50-50 chance of getting it right if you weren't thinking, but, I didn't - think.) Faced with either modifying the valve handle or breaking the connections and re-sealing them) I chose to modify the valve handle.
