Brief Description:  Fabricated some cable supports.

Running fat wires from and to the FW necessitates that they be supported. I supported the 4AWG wire that connects to the main bus to the ammeter shunt by using adel clamps and drilling holes into the gusset that connects the longeron to the FW top angle. I used #8 screws and nuts to connect the clamps to the gusset. Trying to decide where to support will take some thought and time for each cable. I riveted a piece of aluminum angle to the bottom of the main battery box that will support the cable from the battery terminal to the contactor.

I decided to drill a small hole into the terminal that I had crimped using the West Marine crimper and Ancor terminal (closed on the end to capture the cable) and try adding some solder. It seemed to work OK by using a small butane torch, but the heat quickly propogated down the welding cable so you have to be careful about overheating the insulation. I then added some red heat shrink after cooling the cable with a fan.
