Brief Description: Installed Main battery box & contactors to FW.
I decided that I should install the battery box and contactors to help make the decision as to where to penetrate the FW for the wiring. Note how close the starter contactor is to the fuel line fitting! I'll need to put a good rubber boot on the contactor post after it is wired. The battery contactor is connected to the starter contactor with two 1/2" copper bars for the high amp current during starting.
Also note that the Van's contactors aren't prewired with diodes to prevent contact erosion. Van's wants $12.75 for a prefabbed diode with the ring terminals and heat shrink. No way I'm going to pay that much for (at most) a $2 item! I needed to order some ring terminals anyway.
