Brief Description:  Dismantling and reengineering the Aux battery box.

I finally realized it would be easier in the long run to rebuild the Aux battery box than to change the throttle cable penetration location. What was riveted together can be drilled out and reformed for the situation. Of course, I had to buy more materials such as 1/8"x 1 1/2" aluminum 6061-T6 flat plate and some 1/8"x1"x1" aluminum angle. Designing and building your own creation is rewarding but doesn't have any historical data about its functionality or usage, i.e., I'll just wing it as best I can.

The Odyssey PC 680 battery box was fabbed into the Aux battery box which I had straddling the width of the tunnel cover right at the heater box distance from the FW. Hence the blocking of the throttle penetration. I decided to turn the box logitudinally and move it slightly to the left to unblock the penetration hole. After much procrastination I got on with the task at hand of figuring it out as I built it. I had to be sure there was plenty of clearance of the inboard left rudder pedal so that my right foot would not be constantly touching it. I also had to be sure that it did not cover the parking brake that I had previously installed. There has been a lot of drilling out rivets, cutting aluminum, and curse words, but I think it will work OK.
