Brief Description: Researching various throttle cable FW penetrations
Looks like Charlotte's bathroom and kitchen renovations will be going into June. This has stopped my airplane building for most of the last three weeks, but I'm taking advantage of the Memorial Day weekend since the contractors won't be here.
I've been on the internet researching the possiblities of alternate FW penetrations for the throttle cable. I had already made the penetration where Van's recommended but forgot about it when I fabricated the Aux battery box. I located the Aux battery box right in front of the throttle cable penetration in my haste to get started on the wiring. After reading of all the problems with alternate routings of the cable, I decided to reengineer my Aux battery box to allow it to still remain on the centerline at the firewall. Moving the throttle penetration location would cause even more reengineering and headaches down the road!
