Brief Description: Drained preservitive oil and moved quick drain.
I drained the preservitive oil from the engine today. I had installed the oil quick drain on the right side before installing the engine. After adding all the parts (exhaust pipes, etc.), I realized the quick drain should be on the left side of the engine. I, therefore, moved the quick from the right to the left side. After changing sides with the oil plug and quick drain, I added straight mineral oil to the engine (Aeroshell 100) for initial engine start and break in. I also changed the dessicant in the dehydrator plugs. Hopefully, it won't be too long before initial engine start.
Charlotte sanded on the cowling and we reinstalled it to the airplane. She will add some more micro ballons tomorrow.
