Brief Description: Discovered I had the wrong heat muff.
I installed the heat muff that came with Vetterman's crossover exhaust system and dicovered that the heat muff sent would not work for me. I don't have enough room under the #1 & #3 cylinders and sump due to electrical wire routing to run the scat hose.
After researching the VAF forum, I found Richard Robbins website. He sent me a new muff for a reasonable price that will make routing the scat hose much easier. The new muff has the inlet and outlet 135 degrees apart which allows routing of the scat hose around the #3 exhaust pipe. I had to order another heat shield and installed it on the #3 exhaust pipe where the hose goes around. Hopefully there will be good clearance of the hose from the cowling.
