Brief Description: Fabricated a throttle cable bracket.
I tried to make Van's throttle bracket work for me, but I could not get the cable to line up with the FW penetration hole and the servo bellcrank. I, therefore, decided to fab my own bracket. I bought some 1/8" thick x 1 1/4" width metal strap at Home Depot. I used the vice and a hammer to bend the angle that I needed and then drilled the holes on the drill press. I deburred, scuffed, primed, painted, and then bolted it to the boss on the bottom of the sump.
The bracket turned out perfectly, aligning the throttle cable from the FW to the bellcrank. Not too difficult but also not easy and very time consuming.
