Decided to install the sniffle valve after loosely installing the exhaust system. Sure enough, I needed a 45 degree fitting to clear the exhaust pipe with enough distance to plumb it out away from the heat.
Spent about 2 hours on the phone locating the brass fitting and then another 1 1/2 hours driving to get it. It increased the cost about four times the actual price of the fitting, so I bought two in the event I needed another.
