Brief Description: Cut air hole into the oil cooler baffle/doubler.
Today I cut the air hole into the baffle and doubler. I used a saber saw to cut and files to deburr the cuts. I also match drilled the doubler with all the holes in the baffle. Trying to decide which were flush rivets and which were not was very confusing. I finally realized that all the rivets touching the cylinder would have to be flush against the cylinder. I added many more holes for -3 flush rivets to add strength between the baffle and doubler. There were more than a 100 holes drilled by the time I finished.
Air hole cut into the baffle and doubler.
Side #4 baffle attaches to the rear baffle and doubler.
