Brief Description:  Removed plastic protection from canopy.

After visiting our daughter and family for five days we returned home to find out that we would have to attend a funeral for the next two days. I finally went into the garage on Monday.

I need to add a lock of some type to the canopy just for insurance needs. I'll look on Van's Air Force forum to see what others have done. I decided it was time to remove the protective plastic from the canopy and study the areas that a lock could possibly go. After removing the plastic I was surprised at how good the canopy looked. The rear fiberglass skirt came out nice with only some waves in the clear epoxy coat that should be easy to sand smooth when it comes time to paint.

After taking some photos, I unclecoed the forward fuselage skin to open up the area that I'll be working on next. Except for the lock, all the canopy needs is some fine tuning on the latch which can be accomplished with a file.
