Today I sanded the skirt smooth using 220 grit and 400 grit sandpaper. I still see some pinholes that I hope will be filled by the Dupont 210S surface primer that I ordered for Aircraft Spruce. Not cheap at $62.50 a quart, but if it fills in the pinholes and sands to a smooth surface it will be worth the cost.
While waiting for the surface primer, I decided to use the hole finder and drill the rivet holes to #40 which will later be drilled out to 1/8". The hole finder was another one of those tools really worth the cost.
