This morning I set up my yard sanding area and sanded off the primer that I had put on just before dark last night. After about 45 minutes of sanding, I had it faily smooth and the low areas showed up as gray primer that was left. I returned to the garage and mixed a smaller batch than yesterday using 4 pumps of mixture and added less filler until it was about the consistency of cake icing.
When I started spreading the mixture onto the skirt it went on smoothly allowing me to fill in the low areas without pulling it out when I smoothed back over it. I managed to get it all applied before it got too stiff. I let it cure in the garage for 5 hours in 100 degree heat today. Just before sundown I went outside and sanded it smooth and applied another layer of primer. Tomorrow, I will sand off the primer and fill in the low areas again. I'll use an even smaller batch of a thinner mixture to fill the smaller low areas and pin holes. Hopefully this will be the last application of filler.
