Brief Description:  Started adding filler to aft skirt.

A new month already! Charlotte and I took pains to figure out the final cut to make on the aft skirt. There was really no straight line of any kind to measure from, as everthing is a curve. The only reference we had was the impression of the holes in the canopy that had the #4 screws holding the canopy to the rear bow. We finally agreed on the measurements for the cut-off lines. I then made the final edge cuts with the die grinder.

I called my brother, Clark, to come over and help me spread the expoxy filler to fair the skirt. We mixed up a large batch (too large) of filler with 15 pumps of resin and hardner and mixed in about 20 ounces of filler. We had only twenty minutes to spread it on the skirt. It was supposed to be like the consistency of peanut butter but it was more like cake icing. We got it spread just in time but it sagged a flowed down a little. I'll sand it tomorrow after it cures over night. But it's Happy Hour for now. My brother earned dinner for his help. Charlotte took the pictures and then went out with her SOB (Society of Bibliophiles) friends for dinner.
