Brief Description:  Installed the rear canopy anchor blocks.

We finally decided to install the rear canopy anchor blocks. They not only keep the canopy rollers from rolling out the back of the roller tracks but also hold the canopy tight by holding the rear canopy pins when it is closed.

The block U-bracket must be match drilled for installing on the F-718 longeron just to the aft of the roller tracks. The most difficult part of the installation is drilling the plastic blocks that requires two angles be drilled at the same time on the drill press. Marking the anchor blocks requires installing the block in the U-bracket that has been bolted to the longeron and then closing the canopy frame to touch the blocks with the rear canopy pins and then transfering the angles to the blocks. Shimming the blocks in the drill press vice is very tedious and difficult to do, at least it was for me. I finally got the blocks drilled and installed, and the canopy seemed to be held tight with pins inserted into the blocks.

It always takes more time than I thought it would!
