Brief Description: Clecoed on the forward fuselage skin.
Today I did not get much accomplished. I did get to the garage and clecoed the forward fuselage skin to the fuselage so that I could put on the windshield and check how much I will have to cut off. It appears that one just has to free-hand a line onto the windshield to match the skin mold line. I tried to think of a way to use a string to draw the line but the curvature is not a constant radius which makes it much more difficult. Therefore, I decided to get a good night's rest and try my hand at free-handing the line tomorrow morning.
I did try to put a preload bend of a 1/2" into the forward bow of the canopy frame by using a ratchet tie down. When the slider canopy bubble is attached it will spread the bow out the half inch and make it roll properly, I hope. I could only get in 1/4" today so I'll try again tomorrow.
