Brief Description: Cut latch hole and clamped frame to bubble.
I spent half the day trying to buy a new shop vac. I found that one has to buy the accessories separately from the vac these days. The last one I bought 35 years ago came with all the accessories included. Just another way to make more money! I ended up buying a Rigid 12 gallon vac on sale for $29.97 at Home Depot, but the accessories kit was $49.95. Oh well, its just money!!!!!
I fine tuned the fit of the frame in the bubble and then drilled out the latch tube hole to 5/8" with my Unibit. I sanded the hole using 220 grit then 400 grit sandpaper. Finally, I clamped the bubble to the frame using spring clamps. I really need someone to push the bubble tight against the frame while I clamp. I'll get my brother or my neighbor to help tommorrow, I hope. Once I get a tight fit clamp job, I'll draw the line at the front bow for the "Big Cut" to cut the windshield. I will also draw the lines on the bubble to cut it for fitting the side and rear bows. Enough for tonight!
