Brief Description:  Forward cockpit tunnel area tasks.

While waiting word on the canopy frame solution, I decided to finish the tunnel cover and the cover over the AFP boost pump. The tunnel cover needed some more notching for the fuel flow sensor that is connected to the fuel line going from the AFP pump to the firewall. The requirement is that there be at least 6" of straight fuel line after the sensor for it to be accurate. I cut the notch and prepared the covers for painting with the Jet Flex gray paint. I love this paint because it is water based and easy to mix, spray, and clean up the sprayer.

I also made the fuel tube from the fuel flow sensor to the firewall fitting on the second attempt! Hey, thats really good for my skill level at bending tubes. Not my favorite task! Another annoying task was to make the holes bigger (elongate) in the floor stiffners to accept the #8 screws that would not quite match up to the platenuts in the covers. I also put in some foam rubber to prevent the tubes from vibrating and chafing on the floor. Everything finally got painted and put in the forward cockpit tunnel area.
