Brief Description: Made elevator push rods & installed stick control
I decided to fabricate the elevator control push rods. This was not too difficult since I had already made the aileron push rods. The hardest part is figuring out the position of the holes to be drilled. A little math about circle circumference and a 6" rule got the job done. Now I have to prime the inside and outside of the tubes. The slosh method works on the inside and the HVLP spray gun will work on the outside. I'll just have to wait for the wind to die down for my outside, hang'em on the tree branch, paint booth. A no-cloud cold front is supposed to blow through just before sunrise tommorrow and it will be breezy. Once primed inside, I'll pop-rivet on the end fittings and hang them in the tree for spraying.
Meanwhile, I installed the stick control colum to get ready to install the sticks and the elevator push rods so that I can install the autopilot pitch control servo. Slowly, one step leads to another and another and another........ 'til it's done!
