Brief Description: Finished flap actuator and clecoed step kit.
I finished the flap actuator backrest by drilling for nutplates and the riveting them in place.
I then made a cardboad paint template for the steps so that I could prime and paint the area on the fuselage where they were to be riveted. After priming and painting and letting it dry, I inserted the steps torque tubes and bolted them to the baggage ribs. Next I clecoed the steps to the fuselage that I had previously match drilled. The steps were previously primed and painted. We'll rivet them tommorrow.
We have been delaying installing the steps for as long as possible because they will not allow me to rotate the fuselage to more than 45 degrees on the rotisserie as it is currently set up. I'll have to raise my setup about 7 to 8" to clear the garage floor. I'm still thinking about how to do that! The rotisserie really saves on the back aches. Oh well, it will come to me sooner or later. Safety is paramount!
