Brief Description:  Riveted rudder assembly brace and firewall recess.

We decided it was time to rivet the rudder assembly brace that we had prepared previously. We discovered that we had match drilled the brace to the inboard side of the firewall stiffner instead of the outboard side. The holes would not match if we placed it to the outboard side, therefore, we used flush rivets and countersunk the brace and riveted it to the inboard side of the stiffner with about the same clearance on the recess panel that we would have had, had we done it per the drawing. It moved the brace about 1/8" further inboard and shouldn't pose any problem with the rudder assembly (I hope).

We then riveted the firewall recess panel into place. We will not be working on the airplane for two weeks as we will be high in the cool Rockies in Colorado, fishing. This 50 day stretch of 100+ degrees weather in Austin finally got to us.
