Brief Description:  Removed fwd-aft skin for prep & started fabricatin

I added plastic wear blocks to the rear baggage bulkhead panels in the notch where the shoulder harness cable passes coming from a rear bulkhead attach fitting. I had to make small 1/2" x 1/2" washers out of 0.40 alcad to keep the blind rivets from pulling through the plastic. All the material was in the kit. Deciphering the drawing was the hardest part.

Charlotte and I removed the fwd-aft top skin from just behind the baggage area by unclecoing to prep it for installing later. I deburred the match drilled holes by scuffing with a scotchbrite pad and then she dimpled the skin using the DRDT-2 dimpler that I mounted between the two work benches. I used the hand seamer to slightly bend the skin edges before riveting the lap joints. We will rivet it to the fuselange much later when all the work inside the fuselage is completed.

I started fabricating some z-angle tunnel support brackets that will cover the elevator pushrod that runs down the center of the fuselage in its tunnel. Will finish those tommorrow.

Note: It was 103 degrees in Austin today!
