Brief Description:  Finished elev. bellcrank then clecoed fwd aft top

I primed the elevator bellcrank parts and let them dry. I then riveted the bellcrank with its VA-146 bearing and spacer. Next I installed the bellcrank at the base of the F-706 bulkhead and verified tight fit and smooth rotation. I then removed it for later permanent installation.

Charlotte and I clecoed the fwd-aft top skin to the F-706 and F-707 bulkheads, F-787 top rib and F-788 gusset, and the J stringers as well as the F-718 longerons. We drew blue centerlines on the stringers to see through the skin holes for matchdrilling We started at the top of the bulkheads and moved down as well as in the middle of the longerons. It was a very tight fit that only fit when most holes were filled with a cleco. I then matchdrilled the skin holes to the J stringers and opened the skin holes to QB holes as we moved the clecos to drilled holes. Some skin holes looked oval when the bit centered itself to the QB hole. Hope I won't have to go to the next larger rivet! We'll see what the dimple looks like when we accomplish that procedure.
