Brief Description: Riveted side rails and prepaired elev. bellcrank.
After trimming the side rail gussets, I smoothed the curved cutout with the edge cutter. I waited for Charlotte to return from the hair dresser before attempting the riveting because I could not place the bucking bar where necessary and run the rivet gun at the same time. While waiting I cut out the stamped elevator bellcrank parts and broke the edges on the scotchbrite wheel on the grinder. I then fabricated two spacers out of 5/16" OD tubing and drilled the ID to 1/4". I also rounded up the bolt, washers, and nut to attach the bellcrank in the baggage area.
Charlotte returned home and we riveted the side rails and gussets to the F-718 longeron and the F-705 bulkhead frame after deburring the holes that we had drilled.
Finally, I deburred the bellcrank parts and scuffed them for priming.
