Brief Description: Drill Step Kit plastic blocks to baggage rib, etc.
I finally received my angle drill bits from Avery Tools on Saturday. Today I drilled the Step kit plastic blocks to the baggage rib to hold the step torque tube into position, and drilled the torque tube through the block to prevent the tube from torquing when someone steps on the step. Of course the step will be riveted flush to the side fuselage skin when I do the final installation later. Charlotte scruffed the steps and cleaned them with acetone then I primed them with self-etching primer from a rattle can.
I primed the rudder/brake pedal parts and then riveted them together with the pneumatic squeezer while Charlotte held them off the bench. Four hands really help. We drilled the plastic support blocks for the rudder tube assemblies on the drill press then cut the middle support block in half with the band saw.
