I clecoed the the drilled step into the one hole that I had drilled out a rivet from the QB fuselage skin attaching the skin to baggage area frame F-724. I clamped the torque tube that extends into the baggage area to parallel the step plate with the (blue line) frame F-724. I then match drilled the rivet pattern on the step plate to the fuselage skin. One row of rivets goes into the F-724 frame for added strength. The directions that came with the step kit say that the torque tube must sit flush against the bottom of the F-623 rib web. My holes that I drilled did not allow the tube to be flush against the web. Hope it will be OK.
I then clecoed the step to the fuselage skin and clamped the torque tube into the plastic block to check the setup. Looked good to me. I removed the block and drilled the holes on my drill press. Now I'm waiting for delivery of the angle drill bits that I've ordered to match drill the holes into the F-726 rib that is bolted to the block. Will also match drill the tube through the block.
I contiued checking off Quick Build items that have already been accomplished and verifying the work quality. Finally came to the area where I need to add components for the fuel tank attach bracket. Will start that tommorrow.
