Brief Description:  Began fabricating fuel tank attach hardware.

Fabricating the fuel tank attach hardware is not so easy, especially if you misread the drawings. I cut two 6061-T6 angles to the wrong dimensions and, therefore, wasted some material. One really must study those drawings carefully and read the manual for the between the lines info. Oh, well, it won't be the last time, but it really irks me to screw up. I had to drill out rivets from the QB to try the tight fitting hardware and spacers that I had fabricated. Seems back two steps to go forward one, but it is still much easier than building the whole fuselage. Time wasted at my age (64) seems worse for some reason. We will rivet the spacers, angles, and fuel tank bracket at some point in the future.

While I've been working on the hardware, Charlotte has been rounding up the parts for the rudder and brake pedal assembly. She has deburred and cleaned up the parts and found the materials that need to be fabricated. This really helps me and speeds up the whole process. Thank goodness for my lovely partner!
