Brief Description:  Finish installing seat adjustment supports.

The seat adjustment pieces consist of a shim, an alclad plate, and an angle. The plate has to be bent 4 degrees along its centerline. I clamped it to the work bench with some C-clamps and used the hand seamer and guessed at the 4 degrees. Using the electronic level I found that I was within a degree. A little more and that was that. I countersunk the plate using the drill press and the countersink stop. I scuffed and cleaned the parts and then primed them using the rattlecan self etching primer.

After turning the fuselage 90 degrees on the rotissere, we flush riveted the shim beneath the plate using the pneumatic squeezer. I found that some of my countersinks on the plate weren't quite deep enough so I used my Makita cordless drill with the cs stop until all the rivets felt flush and finished the riveting.

I then drilled the fabricated angles on the drill press per the drawing. I clamped them to the F-705 cross member and match drilled them to the aft flange. Using the pneumatic squeezer we riveted the angles on to the aft flange and the job was completed for the day.
