Brief Description: Finished forward top skin riveting.
After a few days of medical appointments we got back to the forward top skin riveting. Charlotte riveted on top with me under the skin sweating and bucking. We used a few more pop-rivets where I could not reach due to wires, parts in the way, etc. We finished up today by using Cherry Max rivets on each side where the roll bar attaches to the longeron. I had run wires down the right side under the longeron inside the canopy rail C-channel and the static tube on the left side. Charlotte pulled the wires and tubes inboard as I pulled the rivets using the pneumatic pop-rivet tool. It all came out OK.
I then reinstalled the roll bar support after peeling the plastic off the skin. We then temporarily installed the windshield to mark a line on the top skin to rough up with sandpaper for fiberglassing the windshield to the skin. We will start that part of the project on Monday after Father's Day.
