Brief Description:  Prepaired forward top skin for riveting.

We have blind rivets ordered for using on the forward top skin that have not arrived yet. Charlotte and I started preping the skin for the blind rivets. We're using Monel 0.111" diameter rivets and, therefore, had to drill out #40 holes a little to 0.113". I also had to machine countersink these holes to 120 degrees for the Monel rivets. These rivets will be used on the instrument panel flange to prevent from having to remove the Dynon EFIS's. I can't reach above the Dynon boxes from below with the bucking bar. We'll use these rivets on any hole that I can't reach with the bucking bar. The side ribs under the skin will be riveted from the outside with the skin open on the sides, and also riveted down the FW, subpanel, and intrument panel until I can't reach with the bar.

Some Cherrymax pull rivets will be used on the drilled out QB rivet holes at the roll bar and longeron/side skin area. I had to drill out the #40 holes to #30 holes for the 1/8" rivets. I also had to counter sink the side skin and redimple the top skin at that area.
