Today I temporarily installed the throttle, prop, mixture, and cabin heat cables. I've had the angle that fits on the bottom of the subpanel clecoed in place, so now its time to determine the positions to connect the cables using adel clamps.
After climbing into the fuselage and looking up under the subpanel while on my back, I marked the angle at the points that the cables must be connected. The adel clamps will hold them in line with there positions on the panel and keep them rigid in a left-right and up-down manner. I drilled the holes for the nutplates and riveted them to the angle followed by scuffing, cleaning, and priming. Tomorrow I'll rivet the angle to the subpanel. I also need to drill a firewall penetration for the cabin heat cable which will also use the swivel eyeball stainless steel fixture.
