Brief Description:  Prepped and riveted right flap brace & hinge.

After drilling the holes through the right flap hinge, I decided to countersink the flap braces instead of dimpling them. I dimpled the lower wing skin, therefore, the flap brace would take the skin dimples and then the flap piano hinge could be left undimpled. The plans and instructions were vague about what to do.
I then deburred the right flap brace, flap hinge, and the holes in the rear wing spar. I finished scuffing the brace and flap hinge, cleaned with acetone and then primed using the Dupont self-etching prime from the spray can.
Charlotte and I then clecoed the brace to the rear spar and the bottom wing skin.
I used my Stanley hand pop riveter to rivet the brace to the spar. It worked Ok on the 3 Cherry blind rivets at the root end and on the MSP-42 rivets elsewhere on the spar. I had bought a Harbor Freight pneumatic/hydraulic riveter that did not work. I'll take it back and get a new one before I do the left flap hinge and brace.
I used the Cleaveland hand squeezer to set the rivets through the wing skin, flap brace, and the flap piano hinge. Everything seemed to work OK. The adjustment of the flap hinge for flap/aileron trailing edge alignment gave just enough edge distance for the rivets on the hinge.
