Brief Description: Set inbd. aileron brackets and prepped flap brace.
Since I had ordered oversize rivets for the outboard aileron hing brackets, and had to wait for their delivery, I decided to go ahead and rivet the inboard aileron hinge brackets because the reamed holes were good. Charlotte ran the rivet gun while I bucked with the tungsten bar. It all worked ok until the last rivet on the right wing inboard bracket when I let the bucking bar slip off the rivet while she was riveting. The shop head was malformed, therefore, I decided to drill it out and rerivet. Of course, I screwed it up by drilling out the hole to an out of limits hole. Now waiting for the oversize rivets to finish that hinge bracket.
While waiting, I decided to prep the flap braces which required some trimming to fit the rear spar correctly. I used the band saw to trim the braces and then deburred, smoothed all the edges with the grinder, and scuffed to be ready for priming. Tommorrow I'll cleco the braces to the rear wing spar and drill the holes to final size and then deburr the holes for riveting.
