Brief Description: Marked left wingtip for aileron gap.
Today I mounted the left aileron and flap to be sure that the gap between them was OK. Dwg 9 shows 1/4" and I had 3/16", so I decided that was good enough. The wingtip to aileron gap will be the same 3/16" if I can cut it accurately enough. I then taped the wingtip to the wing and it flushed up to the aileron. The joggle to wing skin showed about 1/16" between them so I measured 1/4" from the aileron onto the tip and drew a line for the cut. That should leave the 3/16" gap after cutting and sanding, if it comes out like I want it.
