Brief Description: Riveted attach plate to VS forward spar.
I used the hand squeezer to rivet the AN470-4-6 rivets to the attach plate, shim, spar, and doubler. I had to use a longer rivet than Van's callout because of the doubler on the aft side of the spar.. It took a lot of force to hand squeeze those rivets. We then bolted the VS to the HS forward spar and the aft bulkhead at the top to the elevator up stop angle and at the bottom through the bulkhead and tie down. The VS seemed strong and well connected.
