Brief Description: Connected elevator trim wiring in aft tailcone.
The servo bundle connects to the Safety Trim power wires and the Ray Allen sensor wires that provides a display of pitch trim position to the Dynon D180 EFIS screen. These rediculously small wires are connected together through a Dsub9 connector that is zip tied to an L-shaped flange that I glued to the tailcone floor skin.
The only problem is crawling into the tailcone to make the connections. Since I am a relatively small person I can do it, but a large person might want to make the connections in a different location. This is the driest position I could think of. I have not yet inserted the servo pins into the connector since I'll be removing the HS and elevator before I haul the project to a hangar when it becomes available. I temporarily inserted the servo pins into the other half of the connector for a functional check and the trim tab moved as planned.
Servo bundle (white) coiled and zip tied to adhesive mount.
