Brief Description: Added hinges to baggage floor for tie downs.
Today I did some tweaking by adding some Home Depot 2 1/2" hinges to the baggage floor for tie downs. I drilled a couple of #30 holes into one of the hinge halves and then match drilled them to the four corners of the floor where the was a rib. I blind riveted the hinges using LPS4-3 rivets. I also added a third rivet into the middle screw hole by dimpling a #4 stainless steel washer and used a CS4-4 blind rivet. This gave it a little more stability. The bungee hooks fit nicely into the screw holes and when not bungeed, the moveable half will lay flat against the floor.
I also added some epoxy filler to the left side of the windshield layup to smooth out an area that was roughened when I removed the electrical tape. It came out nice, I think?
