Brief Description: Removed tape from the windshield layup.
After four days of sanding the layups, the last day using a borrowed random orbital electric sander, I started removing the tape from around the edges of the layups. I had sanded down to the last red electrical tape layer on the layup's edges, leaving only about a 0.007" thickness. I then used a small file that had a curved side to file the edges. Using a thin protector against the skin and plexiglass, I tediously worked my way around the layups beveling the edges so the primer would stick.
I then taped up to the edges using the blue tape so that I could apply the primer to the layups tomorrow. Hot and sweaty work!
