Brief Description: Windshield sand & fill, fill & sand.
The last three days have been sand and fill, followed by more sanding and filling. I was sanding the "hood" over the canopy today and discovered that I had sanded a hole at the right side canopy skirt position. I didn't notice it until I had moved the canopy back. The skirt poked out a bit at the forward top corner about 1/16". I couldn't drill another hole to screw it in, so I took a file and filed it to make it a little thinner. I then taped the skirt with electrical tape and locked the canopy into the closed postion. I cut two patches about 2 1/2" x 3" and expoxied them over the hole. Tomorrow after they have cured, I will add some filler to the inside of the hole after opening the canopy. Then more sanding and filling, I hope for the last time so that I can spray primer from a rattle can. Oh, yes, I forgot about sanding the filler primer.
It's like playing golf, always in the recovery mode!
