Brief Description: Sanded flox and filled with Superfil.
Without my helper, Charlotte, I started hand sanding the milled flox that we applied yesterday. It didn't take long to realize that my right arm and hand were quickly wearing out. I plugged in the compressor and reached for my orbital pneumatic sander. I stuck on a 6," round, 80 grit piece of sandpaper, and carefully tried to smooth out the rough flox. I was very cautious about controlling the air pressure so that I wouldn't lose control of the sander. It all worked out and I was able to smooth the flox quite a bit, but not enough.
I mixed up some Superfil and proceeded to cover the flox and make a concave curve from the skin to the plexi. I'll let this cure overnight and sand it tomorrow. Time to go home and go out with my Honey for Margaritas and tacos!
