Brief Description: More prep for windshield installation.
The windshield fits OK after I beveled the edges using the belt sander, but the right side still sticks out about 3/8". I used a clamp and a piece of plywood to pull the windshield in flush with the side skin and it raised the right forward area about 1/8". I decided we could live with that if we floxed the edge all the way around with milled flox. Our order from AC Spruce arrived so we mixed the epoxy and milled flox to the consistency of putty. We had to work fast because the temp was 95 degrees. We used tongue depressers that doctors use to apply the flox in the gap between the plexi and skin all the way around. It started setting up before we could get it as smooth as we wanted, but it worked out OK.
I will sand the flox tomorrow and determine whether I'll Superfil it for smoothness.
