Brief Description: Final prep on the windshield before the layup.
Today started off hot, but we wanted to finish the prep for the windshield install. I did the final sanding on the Superfil while Charlotte cut out the fiberglass cloth that we will use on the layup on Monday. As the temperature climbed we started consuming bottles of water and Gatorade. By lunch time we were ready to escape the hot hangar. We grabbed our cooler and headed to the terminal building where there are trees, pinic tables, and shade. As we ate our lunch we started realizing that this was extraordinary heat for the last week of June, even for Central Texas.
We did not return to the hangar, but headed straight to the house and the air conditioner. The temperature record for the day was shattered by 2 degrees, ending up at 108 degrees.
