Brief Description:  Worked on leg-to-wheel pant intersection fairings.

Before trying to position the intersection fairings on the wheel pants, we sanded the split line between the fore and aft pant to get an even gap the witdth of a credit card. Once filled and painted the split line should not be very noticeable.

The leg-to-wheel pant intersection fairing comes as a premolded fairing split at the aft end to slip over the leg fairing. After determining the position we match drilled three holes for clecos. While clecoed we used a Sharpie to draw the split line between the fore and aft pant. I also reduced the diameter of the fairings by drawing a line around the placed clecos. Tomorrow we will add another layer of cloth to stiffen the fairings. When they are cured, filled, and sanded, we will cut them in half at the split line and then bond them to the fore and aft pant using epoxy.
